Why Being Chronically Online Is Actually Fine

July 7, 2026

The internet ruined you. That's the bit.

Chronically Online used to be an insult. A thing people said to describe someone who couldn't disconnect, couldn't read a room, couldn't exist outside a feed.

That was before everyone became that person.

Now it's just a descriptor. The phrase sits in the same drawer as "night owl" and "coffee first." It's not a problem anymore. It's an identity.

The shift happened somewhere around 2022. The lines between online culture and real culture stopped being lines. Brain Rot went from niche to ubiquitous. NPC Mode became a compliment in some contexts. Touch Grass became advice people gave while staring at a phone.

We print phrases that live in that gap. Not to make fun of internet culture. Not to critique it. We live here too.

The joke isn't "look at this person." The joke is "this is all of us now." That's why it works on a shirt. You're not explaining a moment. You're wearing an era.

If you ordered a Chronically Online tee, you understand. If you're still thinking about it, you already know the answer.

The drop is live. The diagnosis is yours.
